Dr. Abhishek completed his MBBS from JLNMCH, Bhagalpur and has the distinction of receiving a Gold Medal in MD Medicine from the prestigious Patna Medical College. He completed his superspeciality in DNB Cardiology from one of the top-ranked cardiology hospitals in India, Fortis Escorts Heart Institute (FEHI), and had the privilege of working with leading cardiologists of the country at FEHI.
He is the first cardiologist in Bihar to have an MCI-recognized Post Doctoral Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology (FNB-PD, National Board of Examinations, New Delhi) from Narayana Hrudayalaya, Bangalore, another top-ranked cardiology institute in India.
Dr. Abhishek has consistently demonstrated excellence both as a clinician and as a professional, which is reflected in his achievements and patient outcomes. He is trained in all major cardiovascular interventions including CHIP (Complex and High-Risk Coronary Intervention), balloon valvotomy, IVC filter placement, ASD closure, PDA closure, cardiac pacing, and electrophysiology. He has strong expertise in advanced imaging and interventional techniques such as OCT, IVUS, and rotablation.
He has been actively involved in advanced structural and endovascular procedures including TAVR (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement) and EVAR programs at Fortis Escorts, Delhi and Narayana Hrudayalaya, Bangalore, working closely with senior cardiology experts at both institutions. He has also received specialized training in MitraClip, TRIC valve procedures, and leadless pacemaker implantation.
In recognition of his outstanding contribution to cardiology and dedicated patient care, Dr. Abhishek was awarded the Real Hero of Indian National Award in 2023 and the Indian Doctors Pride National Award in 2024. He was again honoured with the Indian Doctors Pride Award 2025 and the Rashtriya Chikitsa Seva Shree Samman 2025, further acknowledging his excellence, commitment, and service to society. All these awards are recognized by the Government of India.
